Description
This issue of the Wooster voice headlines a visit and lecture to the College of Wooster by Dr. Benjamin Spock. Also featured on page 1 is a change in Wooster's grading methods, most notably the abandonment of a physical education requirement, and a report on funding of the arts. Page 2 features a letter from the College of Wooster President J. Drushal outlining the Campus Council's roles and responsibilities on campus. Also featured is a piece calling for the Student Government Association to assume some of the Campus Council's roles and responsibilities. Page 3 contains film and music criticism as well as opinion pieces that could not fit on page 2. Page 4 contains a proposed fast at the College to raise awareness of the Ethiopian famine, a report on Wooster admissions practices, and the announcement of Wooster faculty member Brad Karan's run for Congress. Page 5 continues the report on Spock's lecture as well as the ongoing debate over the agnosticism lecture. Pages 6-8 are the sports section.
