Description
Dr. Howard F. Lowry will be returning to the college after a five month absence. He and his companions visited France, Great Britain, Italy, and Switzerland on vacation. They were at sea on their boat, "Ile de France," and were one of the vessels which acted in a rescue capacity at the scene of the 'Andrea Doria'-'Stockholm' collision. Recognition Day, where prizes are given to underclassmen based on previous performances, was held in the chapel last Friday. It was conducted by the Dean of the College. Over $3,000 has been collected during the emergency relief drive for Hungarian Refugees. Students are discouraged from going caroling, and groups on campus are not too happy about this.
