This edition of The Wooster Voice includes two detailed articles that look back on the work of the YMCA and YWCA for the year 1908-09, describing the highlights as well as the significant advancements made. Interestingly, the following page of the newspaper includes two side-by-side reviews conducted by The Wooster Voice of the YMCA and YWCA respectively. Furthermore, it includes specific criticisms such as a lacking in the work of the Social Service committee of the YWCA. This newspaper also includes a section titled Campus Notes, characteristic of this time period, that briefly, yet effectively, informs the student body of the highlights of past events, as well as important upcoming events. It includes descriptions of the Senior Stag Party, the Alpha Tau Party, the YMCA Conference whilst also providing information on the upcoming play produced by the Willard Literary Society on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The Editorial discusses the planned program for Color Day, commending the senior class on their initiative. It also begins to introduce the idea of the creation of an organized Student Body and Student Senate and commands the men of 1908 for making it possible. Interesting to note is the heading of the section titled Athletics. Unlike past editions, this section headed is upside down which could be an error in the printing of this specific copy, or a creative decision on the part of the editorial board. Lastly, advertisements from local businesses have been included in the latter half of this newspaper.
