The Theatre major at Wooster allows students to develop their skills as writers, performers, directors, designers, technicians and dancers through practical experience. As well as this practical element, coursework provides students with a strong background in the history, criticism, theory, and literature surrounding theatre.
Recent IS topics in Theatre and Dance have included a study of the rituals and themes of the Rocky Horror Show cult phenomenon, an analysis of high-end fashion in film, and a project exploring time, space, and energy as conveyed through film.
The Theatre and Dance department is based in Wishart Hall.
