Department Chair, Associate Professor: John Neuhoff
A major in psychology takes an empirical approach to questions of learning, motivation, personality, behavior, intelligence, aggression and attraction. The Psychology program at Wooster includes training in experimental design and statistical analysis and affords its students many opportunities to plan and conduct research and to communicate their findings, developing vital skills for the Junior and Senior IS research projects.
Recent IS topics in Psychology have included a study of the effects of facial maturity on judicial decisions, the use of imagery to aid in increasing levels of dream recall and musical pitch perception.
The Psychology department is based in Morgan Hall.
