Description
This is part one of the Hill's Manual of Social Business Forms: Guide to Correct Writing -- With Approved Methods in Speaking and Acting in the various Relations of Life. There is an inscription at the beginning of the book that states, "To Sister Emma Stahl from Brother George A. Stahl". This book is split into numerous sections that encompass subjects varying from letter writing to the governing of the United States. The sections in the first part of the book include: Writing, How to Write Short-Hand, Common Faults in Writing and Speaking, Letters of Sympathy, Language and Sentiments of Flowers, Courtship and Marriage, The Toilet, The Laws of Etiquette, Commercial Forms, Forms of Book-Keeping, Exemptions from Forced Sale, and How to Collect a Debt. Each section has multiple sub-sections, and the book is extensive.
