Associate Professor - Mathematics [Department Chair: Mathematics & Computational Sciences]: Drew Pasteur

A major in Mathematics provides students with a foundation for the understanding and practice of mathematical operations in preparation for graduate study, teaching, actuarial science, quantitative work in the social and physical sciences, and computing. The Mathematics program at Wooster places emphasis on comprehending principles, reasoning and the honing of both of these through applied problem-solving.

Recent IS topics in Mathematics include a survey of voting theory, predictive analytics for first-year retention figures at the College of Wooster, and an agent-based model of the spread of influenza within a college population.

Mathematics is located in Taylor Hall.
